Our short history

Leaves & Roots helps Seattle homeowners and businesses create thriving, low-maintenance gardens that are good for you and the planet. Founded by horticulturalist Nuria Navarro, we specialize in native plants and sustainable practices to make your space beautiful and eco-friendly.

Leaves & Roots provides horticultural maintenance and consulting services to residential homes and small businesses. Our approach is on supporting our clients interests to transform and maintain sustainable gardens and indoor plants that contribute to the urban forest. More than a gardening company, we look forward to building relationships with clients that want their gardens and plants to be an important piece on a bigger landscape.

About the team

Through her career, Nuria has witnessed on one side how urban green areas benefit city dwellers; and on the other, how poor management practices have caused the decline of urban trees and plants costing millions in economic and environmental losses for the cities. She wants to use these lessons to bring value to her services by incorporating ecosystemic elements to the aesthetic and health values of urban plants.
